The Cabello Room, nestled in the heart of Penrith, has been part of the local community since 2002, originally trading as Captive Hair Studio.

In 2018, the salon entered a new chapter when Isabel Vella took ownership and founded The Cabello Room, transforming the space into the modern, welcoming salon it is known as today.

​

Over the years, The Cabello Room has grown into so much more than a hair salon.

It has become a space built around connection, education and creating an experience where every client feels at home.

In September 2026, The Cabello Room entered its next chapter under the ownership of Celeste Borg.

After years of being part of the salon, working closely with the team and building strong relationships with our clients, stepping into ownership felt like a natural evolution and a very full-circle moment for Celeste.

With a genuine love for the salon, its people and everything The Cabello Room represents, Celeste’s vision is to continue building on the foundations that have made Cabello so special while bringing a fresh energy into its future.

Her focus is centred around creating beautiful, wearable and on-trend hair, continually educating and developing the team, and ensuring every client who walks through the doors feels heard, valued and genuinely cared for.

Today, The Cabello Room is home to a passionate and driven team of women who pride themselves on not only transforming hair, but educating their clients, offering honest and personalised advice, and building long-lasting relationships that go far beyond an appointment.
